The Employment Equity Amendment Act 47 (2013) introduced stiffer measures against employers who do not take matters of equity seriously. With non-compliance attracting fines of up to R3000000 or 10% of annual turnover under, it is imperative for designated employees to understand the legislation and be able to create, Implement and evaluate Employment Equity Plans. The purpose of an Employment Equity Plan is to enable the employer to achieve reasonable progress towards employment equity, to assist in elimination of discrimination and give rise to a workforce that is representative of the general population.

Employment Equity Plans must therefore clearly demonstrate the steps that an employer will use to arrive at the plans desired outcomes. This training program aims to do precisely that by taking delegates through the legislation. You will leave with a better understanding of the Employment Equity Act. In addition to this you will receive detailed explanation on the links between the legislation, skills development, Broad based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) and the organisations strategic plans.

Competency Certificate:

The course is accredited by the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP) with 15 CPD points. Upon successful completion of the course and assignment, delegates will receive a certificate from the South Africa Board for People Practices (SABPP) which will earn them 15 CPD points to add value to their careers.
